We are humbled and grateful for the messages of support we have received from our friends and colleagues across the country and around the world following the violence at the U.S. Capitol.  Our staff is safe, and committed to our mission of advising the elected representatives and other decision-makers we work with daily.  We take pride that our democratic principles and institutions held strong in the face of adversity.  We affirm our steadfast commitment to scientific integrity, evidence-based policies, fair and transparent processes and procedures, and the importance of respectful debate among those of diverse perspectives.  In this spirit, we look forward to a new year of international collaboration on science, medicine, and technology for the benefit of all of humanity.
